ブルンジの商標を規制する法律であるブルンジ工業所有権法は、2009年7月28日に発効しました。 多くの商標法と共通して、この法律は10年間の登録/更新期間を規定しています。 2009年7月28日より前は、商標はブルンジで無期限に登録されていました。これらの古い登録を一列に並べるために、新しい法律が施行されてから10年以内、つまり2019年7月28日までに更新する必要があることが決定されました。
