# OAPI: The creation of a fund for financing invention and innovation

A delegation from the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI), represented by its Director General, Mr. Denis Bohoussou, paid a working visit to the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) in Nairobi, Kenya, from 6-9 November 2022.

AGF is OAPI’s partner in a venture that involves the setting up a mechanism for financing invention and innovation. The report says that when the venture is up and running OAPI will be operating as a ‘development agency’.

The financing venture will be discussed by OAPI’s Board of Directors on 8 December 2022 in Douala, Cameroon.
