# Jersey Confirms Official Trade Mark Fees ahead of New Regime

Following our earlier [update](https://spoor.com/jersey-introduces-a-new-trade-marks-regime-from-1-august-2026/) on Jersey’s new trade marks regime, the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) has now published the final trade mark fees that will apply when the new system comes into force on 1 August 2026.

## Highlights

The JFSC has confirmed its fee structure taking effect on 1 August 2026. The fees will remain in place until 31 December 2027, at which point they may be reviewed.

Official fees for trade mark applications and renewals have increased significantly and are in line with those charged by the UK IPO, whilst new fees have been introduced for the newly created opposition system.

The published fee schedule also confirms fees for a range of post-registration transactions, including changes of ownership, licence recordals, partial assignments and merger requests where only minor increases have been introduced.

Expedited processing will not be available under the new Registry framework.

## Our View

The confirmation of official fees provides welcome certainty ahead of the launch of Jersey’s new trade mark system. While much of the attention has focused on the legal reforms themselves, the publication of the fee schedule completes an important piece of the implementation framework and allows rights holders to plan future filing, renewal and enforcement strategies with greater certainty.
