Mauritius will be the 21st ARIPO Member State to be party to the Harare Protocol. From a practical point of view, this means that Mauritius may be designated in an ARIPO patent, a utility model, and an industrial design application from 27 August 2025. As far as international PCT patent applications are concerned, it will be possible to designate Mauritius under an ARIPO regional phase patent application for PCT applications with an international filing date on or after 27 August 2025.
