#### 非洲的马德里议定书

《马德里议定书》是一种国际体系，可通过单一申请在多个国家和/或地区获得商标保护，从而产生国际注册（“IR”）。只有加入系统的国家和地区才能获得IR。 IR 提供了一系列通过瑞士世界知识产权组织 (WIPO) 集中管理的权利。

马德里体系提供了一条在许多成员国获得商标保护的便捷途径。但是，重要的是要注意，一种尺寸并不适合所有尺寸。在非洲，有许多当地因素会影响 IR 的有效性和有效性。这可能会使商标权面临风险。在制定强有力的申请策略时，必须考虑到这些问题。

下表总结了 IR 在非洲成员国的有效性和有效性。

由于佛得角和毛里求斯是最新加入的非洲成员，因此当地知识产权局在实践中将如何处理指定任一管辖区的 IRs 还有待观察。
