豪登省省长戴维·马库拉 (David Makhura) 表示，仅在过去 12 个月中，南非警察局 (Saps) 和南非税务局 (Sars) 在豪登省查获了价值 50 亿兰特的假冒商品。

据非典称，在 2018 年 4 月 1 日至 2019 年 3 月 31 日期间没收的所有货物的总价值在 6 828 次破坏中达到 R3 694 742 928，比之前的 4 840 次增加了 1 988 次。

Saps省发言人Brigadier Mathapelo Peters表示，豪登省的Saps与品牌所有者的代表密切合作，他们已获得搜查令，并在全省不同的预防犯罪行动中没收了大量假冒商品。

**“查获的货物种类繁多，如服装、鞋类、手表、香料、酒和香烟，”** 她说。

彼得斯说，在许多情况下，警方还没收了据信用于制造这些假冒商品的设备，例如带有品牌标志的模板和盘子。

据专门从事商标执法的候选人律师 Tevin Jones 称，根除假冒商品对经济至关重要，因为它可能导致销售和利润损失，最终可能导致裁员。
